Who we are

Pest Shield Melbourne provides pest control services across metropolitan Melbourne. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” mean Pest Shield Melbourne, and “you” means anyone who uses this website or contacts us. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

When you send the quote form we collect:

• your name, phone number, email address and suburb or postcode
• the service you choose and anything you write in the message
• the page you sent the form from, so we know which service you were reading about

When you call or email us we keep the details you give us, and when we attend a job we record the property address, what we found and what we did. Our web host also keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

Why we collect it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, give you a quote, book and carry out the work, send invoices and job records, handle any warranty follow up, and keep the records a pest control business is required to keep. We do not sell, rent or trade your information.

Who we share it with

Only with the people who need it to do the job: the technician attending, and service providers that run our systems, such as our web host and email provider. We may disclose information where the law requires or allows it, for example to a regulator. We do not send your information overseas for marketing.

How we store and protect it

Form enquiries are stored in this website’s database and emailed to our business mailbox, both hosted with our web host. Access is limited to people who need it, and the website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and job records are kept for as long as needed for the work, warranty periods and tax obligations, and are then deleted. You can ask us to delete an enquiry that did not go ahead at any time.

Cookies

This website only uses the cookies WordPress and our caching system need to deliver pages. We do not run advertising cookies. If we add website analytics in future, we will update this policy to say so.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@pestshieldmelbourne.com.au or call 0489303099 and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
