About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or book work with Pest Shield Melbourne. By booking a service you agree to them. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Quotes and prices

Prices on this website are starting prices in Australian dollars and include GST. They show what a typical job starts from. Your final price depends on the pest, the property, access and how established the problem is, and we confirm it in writing before any work starts. Work only goes ahead once you have approved the price. If we find something during the job that needs extra work, we explain it and quote it before doing it.

Bookings and cancellations

Bookings are confirmed by phone, text or email. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as you can so the time can go to someone else. Same day visits depend on availability and are never promised until confirmed.

Access and preparation

You agree to give our technician safe access to the areas that need treating, including roof voids, sub floors, yards and outbuildings where relevant, and to follow the preparation instructions we give you. If an area cannot be reached safely, or preparation has not been done, we may need to reschedule or limit the treatment.

Safety

Please tell us before we attend about anyone at the property who is pregnant, has asthma or allergies, or is immunocompromised, and about pets, fish tanks, birds, chickens or beehives. Our licensed technicians apply every product exactly as the label directs and will tell you which areas to keep clear and for how long. Please follow those instructions.

Wildlife

Possums and other native wildlife are protected in Victoria. We only handle them in the way Victorian wildlife rules allow, which may limit what can be done at your property. We explain the options before any work.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Commercial programmes are invoiced on the terms set out in the agreed programme.

Warranty

Where a treatment carries a warranty, the period and what it covers are written on your job record and explained before you agree. Warranties rely on the property not being changed in a way that lets the pest back in, and on any proofing, repair or hygiene work we recommended being carried out.

Our responsibility

We take care to avoid damage when accessing and treating a property. We are not responsible for damage that existed before our visit, or for damage caused by building defects, moisture or entry points we identified and recommended fixing.
